Maintenance staff from HMP Berwyn in Wrexham are putting their best feet forward with a charity hike up the famous Yr Wyddfa / Snowdon.

The team of 12 from contractors Amey Plc will be taking on the challenge and weather permitting tackle the longer Llanberis Path route up Wales’ highest peak on Tuesday 3rd October.

The team have chosen us as their adopted charity to benefit from their Social Impact Day 2024.

Robin Griffin, Facilities Supervisor spoke for the group and said: “As a company, Amey is pleased to help out with any charity to improve life for anybody who can’t help themselves.

“Personally, I will be pleased to join my colleagues in raising awareness of this great cause.

“We’re really looking forward to it and some of the group have never walked Yr Wyddfa before."
